A vision test involves a series of tests to evaluate your vision. Our principal optometrist may use a variety of instruments, shine bright lights directly at your eyes and request that you look through an array of lenses. Each test during a vision test evaluates a different aspect of your vision.

Regular vision tests, as well as general eye examinations, are an essential check on the health of your eyes.

It is recommended to schedule a vision test every 12 – 24 months.

If you notice any of the following, it is recommended that you make an appointment with us immediately:

• Blurry vision
• Headaches when reading or using the computer
• Having trouble reading words in books, on a computer screen and/or on a television
• Seeing double vision
• Difficulty discriminating between colours
• Difficulty seeing whilst driving
• Frequent eye strain or squinting
• Finding it hard to see at night

Our principal optometrist will discuss your vision concerns and requirements with you. We will take into account your daily needs, determining your eyesight needs in relation to your work time and leisure time.

Your vision will be assessed through a series of tests, conducted by Iskender Izgi. If you are using contact lenses or glasses at the time, we will check how they are performing for you.

Our principal optometrist will then determine the lens prescription which provides you with comfortable, clear vision.
